It's scary they charge $16+ for a normal tasting ice-cream :}I can buy at least 16 of those ice-creams from the streets of Orchard and get better waffles too!
Z: Oh mama can u please teach me how to smile?? What's more, this CNY was doubly special because Da Jie got married during this joyous festival! Sleeping beauty me (Er-herm!) slept at 1.30 am the day before the wedding but had to crawl out of bed to San Jie's morning call at 2.30am! Wonder Woman Er Jie and San Jie did not sleep at all!!! Luckily I managed to change into my cheong-sam (our theme for the morning ceremony), doll myself up so as to not look like a hello panda and make-up for the two pretty Wonder Woman! Eh all within 1 hour ok... Power~ Soon after, we heard the sound of the horn and we immediately knew who had came! The grrrooom had arrived!!! Arhhhh, my Da Jie rushed into her room and locked the door while Er Jie and San Jie guarded the front gate... After the groom screamed the words :AN QI WO AI NI to Da Jie in chinese (the sisters wanted him to do that... They can ask him to do anything they want actually), I witnessed his pocket disappear straight away... It literally burnt a damn big hole..! The funniest thing is that... he set the fire BY HIMSELF ON HIMSELF LOL! You know why I said that? Bcoz usually for the chinese custom, the groom would have to pay an amount of money to the 'sisters' before he can enter the house to receive the bride.. The 'sisters' of the bride (often the sisters or close friends of the bride) would propose an amount and the groom would try to bargain and lower the price. $888 is usually the amount they would demand for and the groom would usually bargain to offer as little as possible.. AS USUAL, E.Jie and S.Jie demanded the aupicious number $888 and... My Da Jie Fu took out an Ang Bao and handed it to them... They thought he must have put like $888 Baht or Rupees or whatever but NO!!!!!!! He really really really gave them the $888 in SINGAPORE DOLLARS LOL... He wanted to change the currency of the notes after he gave them the Ang Bao because someone told him that he can play tricks on the 'sisters'... However, he's 1 second too late... LOL (How I wish I was also one of them at the gate! Haha...) I guess the two Wonder Woman would be too happy to sleep for the next 3 days... Oh you know what happened next? The groom realised that he had left the bouquet of flowers at home and his 'brothers' had to cheong home to get it... LOL... A good sign to show that he has never been married before :) Anyway, after all the drama we headed for the Indian ceremony and cam-whored for a lil while before entering the temple at Seng Kang: Er Jie & Er Jie Fu San Jie & Kenneth Zhang Xueyi meets Shahrukh Chan LOL This is my Da Jie during the Indian Customary Wedding. She's 100% chinese... Yea, obviously she got married to an Indian! LOL The one in the white robe is my Da Jie's husband.. Definately not the one with the grey hair pls.. Oh btw, this is where the bride and groom would carry out the ritual for their wedding. (Sorry Da Jie Fu for having to post such an exposed picture of you) The oh so famous Mozart and Bach! (With make-up on the fore-head! LOL) Zavier and Ye Ye having fun together! Z: Mama! I am beginning to like my Indian friends, they are so fun to be with! I can keep throwing rice into their hair & they dont even get angry with me... HAHA! Da Jie getting some fresh air after the entire process:) Zavier, Ah Ma & me getting really bored at the 3rd hour of the ritual which eventually ended!!! It's not the end yet... There was the banquet dinner at Goodwood Park Hotel after that. I was damn exhausted and my energy was going to be totally drained out until I received a call..... B: Hello Vel, where are you? V: Eh hello! I at the hotel loh... Damn tired leh... From morning until now so busy...You all just left Chen Lao Shi house ah? B: Ya... Is it Goodwood Park Hotel ah? V: You mean my Da Jie wedding ah? Ya loh, beside Far East that one... B: Ok I know... We at the reception area... You come down now ok? Hehe... V: REALLY!!!! Ok ok ok.. You, Joc and Skinny ah?? HEHE!! (Wearing all the accessories immediately after hearing that) OKOK SEE YOU!!!!! My Dearie Ben Ben!!! Me Dearie Joc!!! My Dearie Skinny!!! VJBEE is always wonderful because they give me unexpectedly surprises which brighten up my days, weeks and years! :) Wo Ai Ni Men! Rushed back to the hotel room to make-up for the two Wonder Woman again :) Pretty pretty! Btw Pavethra, if you are reading this, I wana thank you alot alot alot alot alot for lending me this gorgeous sparkly saree! I <3> I am starting to love them more and more each day and I thank God for all that... That's all folks:) I think everyone agrees that this new year past really really fast!
It's quite scary to know that it's already the second month of the year and what? We are only left with 10 months before welcoming the new year again...
This CNY was special.
Not totally
because of the decorations i prepared,
because of the hong baos i give, (of course not ok! lol)
because of the crazy house visits to here to there to all around Singapore,
because of the delicious yummy dum-dum food that I get to eat!HE is then the one that made it so special.
